El compositor Colin Matthews fundó NMC en Londres en 1989 para salvar del olvido a la música clásica contemporánea de su país. Su primer lanzamiento, *Bhakti* de Jonathan Harvey, marcó el inicio de una discografía terca: registrar obras de creadores vivos que los grandes sellos ignoraban. No es un ejercicio de nostalgia académica, sino un archivo activo de la experimentación sonora británica. Al no descatalogar nunca un título, NMC garantiza que la música más arriesgada de nuestro tiempo conserve siempre un lugar donde ser escuchada.
