Fundado en Bruselas en 2004 por el violinista e ingeniero de sonido alemán Rainer Arndt, Ramée nació con la obsesión de tratar al disco como un objeto de arte táctil y visual. Arndt no solo graba y masteriza con fidelidad acústica en iglesias belgas, sino que diseña él mismo cada digipak con papeles y tipografías cuidadas. Desde el fundacional O dulcis amor de La Villanella Basel, el catálogo rescata repertorios olvidados del Renacimiento y el Barroco. Importa porque demuestra que la música antigua no pertenece al museo, sino al presente.
