Matt Sullivan fundó el sello en Seattle en 2002 con una premisa de arqueólogo: desenterrar discos perdidos para darles la edición que el mercado les negó en su momento. El rescate de *Cold Fact* de Rodriguez en 2008 —que impulsó el documental *Searching for Sugar Man*— o la reedición del folk de Karen Dalton prueban que no viven de la nostalgia, sino de la justicia histórica. Importan porque tratan a cada cinta olvidada con la dignidad de un clásico que recién empieza.
