German-Romanian band leader, composer, arranger, trombonist, guitarist. 1951 immigrated to West Germany where he learnt to play the guitar. 1953 school-leaving examination in the USA. 1957 he returned to Germany and studied in Nuremberg. 1960 he started to play in US clubs and radio bands. 1969 foundation of an all-star big band, the Peter Herbolzheimer Rhythm Combination & Brass.
