American jazz percussionist, producer, and engineer. (do not confuse with jazz drummer from NYC, Steve Reid (2).). Reid begun releasing material in 1987, scoring his greatest success yet as a co-founder of the enormously popular contemporary jazz group The Rippingtons, also crossing over to pop audiences as a member of Supertramp.
