Sunny Skylar

American composer, singer, lyricist, and music publisher. Brother of one of his collaborators, songwriter Arthur Shaftel. As a singer, he appeared with a number of big bands, including those led by Ben Bernie, Paul Whiteman, Abe Lyman, and Vincent Lopez (2). After the end of the big band era, he continued to sing in nightclubs and theaters until he abandoned his singing career for good in 1952.
