Lead vocalist of Dr. Feelgood & exponent of the blues harp/sometime guitarist, who moved to Canvey Island in the UK as a teenager and was one of the founding partners of that Island's seminal rhythm & blues band along with Wilko Johnson. He was also a driving force in helping Jake Riviera's founding of Stiff Records and a regular at The Grand Hotel watering hole - an inspirational location.
