Kenny "Ken" Sands (b. Oct 1047, d. May 2021) was hired by Motown Records in 1967 to edit rhythm tracks for Motown’s recording sessions. He would later become a key figure in recording, mixing and mastering countless records. In particular, he is credited with configuring the famous double lead vocal layering technique used, a technique that Sands cited as a mistake in the early editing process.
