Colin Smith

Colin Smith (born 20 November 1934, London, England – died 29 March 2004) was an English jazz trumpeter. He joined the Terry Lightfoot band in 1957 before moving on to playing with Cy Laurie, in 1958. In 1959 Smith began, what would turn out to be, a long tenure in the Acker Bilk band, only taking a break in 1966 to sail across the Atlantic in a 45-foot ketch.
