Jeff Ament

American bassist born March 10, 1963 in Havre, Montana. He learned to play bass in his adolescence, studied graphic design, quit studies and moved to Seattle with his then-band in 1983. He met Steve Turner and Mark Arm and eventually started to play as Green River. The band split in 1988 and Ament joined the follow-up band Mother Love Bone the same year.
