Skip Martin

American jazz saxophonist, clarinetist, and music arranger. For Kool & The Gang & Dazz Band lead vocalist/trumpeter, use Skip Martin (2). At the age of seventeen, Martin played clarinet in the Indianapolis Symphony. With a strong love of jazz, he headed to the west coast. Skip played sax with Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and Charlie Barnett. His first arranging jobs were for Count Basie.
