A.K.A. Muscle Shoals Sound Rhythm Section and The Swampers. A group of session musicians who left Fame Recording Studios, Muscle Shoals, Alabama, in the late 1960s to build Muscle Shoals Sound Studios in Sheffield, Alabama. The founders are Barry Beckett (keyboards), Roger Hawkins (drums), Jimmy Johnson (4) (guitar) and David Hood (bass).
