John Koenig

American producer, musician (cello, bass), audio engineer and producer. Son of Lester Koenig, founder of Contemporary Records, a jazz label. Initially a blues guitarist, he switched to the cello and was tutored in master classes by Gregor Piatigorsky. After embarking on a career as a classical cellist and briefly with the Swedish Radio Symphony, he abandoned this path after his father died.
