Frank London Brown

October 17, 1927 – March 12, 1962 (Leukemia complicated by bronchial pneumonia). American writer, activist, and union leader, occasional vocalist and author of Trumbull Park and The Myth Maker. A devotee of jazz and blues music, he wrote a seminal article on Thelonious Monk for DownBeat magazine and did liner notes for a handful of Vee Jay Records and Argo (6) albums.
