American producer, songwriter and singer, born May 31, 1950 – died March 22, 1985. He was married to Natalie Cole (daughter of Nat King Cole) from 1976 until their divorce in 1980. After the divorce, Marvin Yancy pastored his late father's church, Fountain Of Life Baptist Church in Chicago, Illinois. With the Fountain Of Life Joy Choir, he recorded a handful of gospel albums.
