US jazz pianist and vocalist, b. 1941. Born into a musically family D'Ambrosio studied both painting and music as young and by graduation was performing professionally. Earliest appearence counts singing in 1958 with Roger Kellaway. In 1966 she was offered to tour with John Coltrane - but turned him down - reportedly due to lack of confidence.
