Johnny Magnus

U.S. radio personality, known as a Pop and Jazz disc jockey (1960's to 2020's). Often credited with liner notes. Born in Frankfurt, Germany, the LA Times and Gary Owens gave him the title "Prince of Darkness" due to late night broadcasting early in career. Quincy Jones wrote "Nasty Magnus" about him, a tune which Count Basie originally recorded.
