Frank Kofsky

American historian and writer. Kofsky wrote several books on jazz concentrating on the avant-garde of the 1960s and the relationship between musicians and the music industry. He was editor of Jazz & Pop magazine to which Kofsky also contributed. He was Professor of History at California State University, Sacramento until his death.
