Prof. Hans R. Hickmann, (born May 19, 1908, in Rosslau, Germany; died 4 September 1968, in Bladford, England), German musicologist primary known for his studies on Egyptian musical intruments. He was appointed artistic director of the Deutsche Grammophon's Archiv Produktion in 1958.
